About SL

Miss Sifa Love is an award-winning fashion designer, stylist, and humanitarian based in the USA, with over 15 years of experience creating elegant designs that celebrate women of all shapes, sizes, and ages.

Her passion for fashion began in childhood when she accompanied her mother to her tailor. Fascinated by the art of dressmaking, she began sewing outfits for her dolls using leftover fabrics from her mother’s clothes — a creative spark that grew into a lifelong calling. She later graduated from the Institute Supérieur des Arts et Métiers as a Fashion Designer, Stylist, and Dressmaker, and went on to establish SL Fashion Design, a brand dedicated to making every woman feel confident and beautiful.

Sifa refined her craft by working with some of the world’s most prestigious fashion houses and luxury retailers, including Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, and Chanel, where she excelled as a seamstress and alterations specialist. These experiences enhanced her mastery of couture finishing, garment structure, and high-end client service.

Her exceptional designs have been showcased at major international events such as New York Fashion Week, Congo Fashion Week, and Washington DC Fashion Week. Sifa has also had the honor of dressing public figures and celebrities, including the First Lady of Maryland, Mrs. Hogan, and renowned artists such as Deborah Lukalu, Celeo Scram, Kobe Maxwell, Soleil Divas, Crist Fire, and Patrician Mycka Hevalier, among others.

Throughout her career, Miss Sifa Love has been recognized for her artistry and humanitarian impact, receiving multiple prestigious awards. Here are few:

Beyond the runway, Sifa is passionate about giving back to her community. She is the Founder and President of Miss D.R. Congo USA, a pageant dedicated to empowering Congolese youth in the diaspora, and the Founder of SL Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization that feeds people in need, provides coats to keep them cozy, and teaches sewing skills to help individuals achieve self-reliance.
